Michael is an educated fine and commercial artist. He received a BFA in mixed media with concentrations in drawing and sculpture from Montclair University and has pursued a MFA at the School of Visual Arts, NY and received a certificate in a comprehensive electronic illustration program from PRATT Manhattan.
He has shown and sold numerous works in the tri state area. He has created a large outdoor sculpture for the campus of Montclair State University. He has also apprenticed with internationally known sculptor Charles Simonds and helped create large sculptures for the Gugenheim Museum, NY and Liberty State Park, Bayonne, NJ.
In 2005 he was part of the installation team for the Christo & Jean Claude “Gates” in Central Park, Manhattan.
Michael is a full time artist in both fine art and commercial art. He has done countless illustration and graphic design projects for medical and technical applications including published medical books and journals.
He works fulltime as a creative director and is the principal of Cooper Graphics.
He is a member of Artsbridge, New Hope Art League, Hunterdon Art Museum and BNI.
