GoggleWorks Center for the Arts is pleased to announce an open call to all professional artists, age 18 and up, who design and produce their own work, to show in our 11th Annual Juried Exhibition. Open to all media, this exhibition aims to curate a selection of exemplary contemporary work from artists around the country. On view from , the exhibition will be supplemented with a published catalog which includes color images of included work, along with artists' statements, jurors statement and bio.

Work must have been created within the last three years and may not have been previously shown at GoggleWorks Center for the Arts. All work MUST BE FOR SALE. All media welcomed; video artists must supply their own equipment.
How to Apply:There is a $35 application fee per submission. Submissions may include up to three artworks. All submissions must be entered via our online submission form. Entrants must create a Submittable username and password, then log in to complete their submission. Applicants are allowed to submit up to three artworks. Images must be in .jpg format - max. 1500x1500 pixels, at 300dpi. Video submissions must be uploaded as MP4. All applicants must submit a 75-100 word artist statement. Please note that entries will be disqualified for failure to follow the submission guidelines/instructions.
About GoggleWorks Center for the Arts:Located in the former Willson Goggle Factory building, GoggleWorks is the largest arts center of its kind in the country. The five-story, 145,000-square-foot complex features six large teaching studios in ceramics, hot and warm glass, metalsmithing, photography, and woodworking; 35 juried studios for artists and makers working in a variety of mediums; and dozens of music, arts, and other cultural organizations.The complex also includes several major exhibition galleries, a 131-seat film theatre, a cafe and STORE featuring the work of over 200 artists from GoggleWorks and beyond. Join us for a week of plein air
painting in verdant and historic Bucks County, located in the Philadelphia countryside. Paint the rolling landscapes, lakes and rivers, covered bridges, stone farm houses, and historic estates that have inspired artists for more than a century. Jointly hosted by Bucks County Community College, the Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce and Alan Fetterman Fine Art, proceeds will support art scholarships and arts programing in Bucks County.
The Bucks County Plein Air competition is open to all painters age 18 and older. All entrants will be juried, and the total number of participants will be limited to 50. At least 10 participating artists will be residents of Bucks County, PA.

41st Annual Philadelphia Museum of Art Craft Show

The 41st Annual Philadelphia Museum of Art Craft Show, a juried exhibition and retail sale, will be held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center from November 9 to 12, 2017, with a Preview Party on November 8. The jury will accept 195 craft artists.
This show of Art by Hand serves as the Museum's largest yearly fundraising event and is devoted to bringing wide public attention to the field of craft art. Cumulative 39-year contribution: $11+ million. Funds raised are used to purchase works of art and craft for the permanent collections of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, to support exhibitions and education programs and to contribute to conservation and publication projects.
At the 2016 show, approximately 18,000 visitors attended. Out of the 195 artists exhibiting, 50 were new to the show. Ten of the 50 artists new to the show were juried in under the emerging artist category. See http://www.pmacraftshow.org/ to apply.
