The arts help keep my life in balance. They help me express my emotions in a way that help me make sense of my life and my world.
The rich artistic culture that is prevalent in Bucks County, PA and in nearby Delaware River towns in New Jersey, has inspired Cindy Ruenes to paint the beauty that surrounds her. She had always been in awe of artistic ability, but only began studying as an artist in 2000. Over the years, she has studied with several local teachers. In between classes, she paints with a group called, “The Painters’ Collective”, artists who are friends and supportive colleagues. She has painted while traveling to Monhegan Island, Maine, the Poconos and as far away as Dakar, Senegal. She creates landscape and still life paintings. Although trained as a nurse, (she works as a Health Educator, Vaccine Nurse and Screener for Corporate Health Companies) she is also heavily involved in the regional artistic scene. Additionally, she performs locally, singing and playing acoustic guitar and classical guitar.
